El Pont de Suert is the main shopping hub in the county. Even though agricultural and livestock activities still remain in its environs, due to its strategic location it is a perfect base for visiting the Pyrenees mountain in Aragon, Catalonia and France and for discovering their rich cultural heritage, their traditions and of course their varied cuisine.
The Pyrenees are the ideal place for going on all types of outings, practising sports or relaxing in both summer and winter. These activities range from skiing in the nearby slopes of Boí Taüll to more specialised practices such as mountaineering. In summer, horseback rides, hiking, mountain biking or rock climbing are just a few of the sports you can practise.

La Faiada de Malpàs is a well-marked route featuring diverse landscapes: along the trail, hikers can walk through the riverbank forest of Malpàs until La Pineda and an extensive forest of pine and beech trees, discover the abandoned village of Montiberri and enjoy impressive views of the Alta Ribagorza, the pre-Pyrenees and the Pyrenees from the La Faiada summit.
